WWII Games

Do you think they'll ever stop making Word War II games?I doubt it.I wouldn't mind seeing more of the Pacific campaign, however. The only good game set in the pacific was MoH: Pacific Assault. It would be nice if someone made a good Vietnam themed FPS.WWII Games
I think they wont stop, the people who make the games think it's the best war.Why dont they make an FPS about other wars such as, Vietnam, Iran Iraq war, WW1, 6 day war etc. The game dvelopers should stop focusing on WW2, i hope they know that other wars followed.WWII Games
It's the biggest war still in living memory. It pretty much set the stage for the rest of the twentieth century, plus it featured a new type of war. As long as they try to innovate it's not so bad. There is a Batlefield: Vietnam game out there but it's very much overshadowed by Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142. I'd like to see a nam based game too, for the sole reason I know little about it (being Canadian).
You know, a WWI game could be pretty interesting. I'm surprised they haven't made a game about it, seeing as it was called ''the war to end all wars''.
A quick search brought up the game To End All Wars, for Xbox 360, it's coming out next year in October. So looks like they finally got around to it.
They should release it on the PC... I don't have a 360. :(
Men of Valor is considered the best Vietnam War themed FPS. It's from the same guys that did the first Medal of Honor Allied Assault. Just to let you know if you're interested. But it's hard to find. And I think we'll be seeing less WWII shooters from now on. For example, seeing howInifinity Wardwent with Modern Warfare, I think there will be less WWII shooters. MoH Airborne, I think, we'll be the last WWII shooter we'll see in awhile...the last good one. There will still be tons of Hour of Victory crap though.
The only WWII games that need to be made are ones that feature non-American perspectives. Like a German/Russian game during the Battle of Stalingrad. Or a French Resistance game. Something different, something that isn't a Saving Private Ryan clone. If they make those kinds of games, I'll buy them... but if they keep making the same drivel that has been churned out for a decade then no.

I know for a fact that WWII games may never stop being made. But if they're going to be made for the next eternity, then I just want to see one thing: A non-American Perspective at least once! Really, it get boring having to see the war from the same American hero over and over again. Just once I'd like to play as someone different, maybe even an Axis soldier. Think about it: The war from the perspective of a Nazi soldier, Italian soldier, or even a Japanese soldier fighting against the Americans to keep them from entering the homeland. Wouldn't that be an awesome feature to see? To see the face of defeat instead of victory? I guess nobody's tried it because the developers figured players want a rewarding ending to the games they play and not one of defeat...
