Here's the review, 9.0 - http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/puzzle/puzzlequestchallenge/review.html?sid=6180836
I missed out on Puzzle Quest on the DS and PSP because I no longer have either system, so naturally I was glad to hear this was coming to Xbox Live Arcade. The news that this is the best version of the three is even better. $15 is kind of steep for an arcade game, but considering the $20 price tag for the PSP and DS versions, it's a steal.Puzzle Quest - First XBLA Game Awarded w/ GS's Editor's Choice
You are going to love this game. I have it for the PSP and I didn't get around to finishing it because I knew it was coming out for the 360. Be prepared to become addicited to this game. It's good stuff!!!Puzzle Quest - First XBLA Game Awarded w/ GS's Editor's Choice
Oh, man. I'm just checking out some screens of it (the PSP version) and I'm really interested.
Sweet.I tried the free trial of the game and really liked it. Based off what I played I was definately going to pick this up, I just need to get some more points first, with the excellent review it got though it certainly reaffirms my decision to get the game.
I wonder when the PC version is coming. I'd love to make a PQ mod.
They make reference to the other versions occasionally, but don't explain why this one got the highest score, almost a full point higher than the DS version.

I thought it was clear why this version is better.
I bought it for XBLA yesterday but I haven't played it yet because I'm on my Final Fanatsy fix right now. Almost done with FFXII and I'm reliving FFA on the PSP.
You can't go wrong with either version of Puzzle Quest. Best puzzle game ever, better than Planet Puzzle League...yeah, you heard that right, I said it. BETTER THAN PLANET PUZZLE LEAGUE! :PI think I poured in like 80+ hours with my DS version of PQ. I'm at level 50 and everytime I play, it never gets boring. I think I'll start over using a new character. I'm really thinking about picking up the PSP version, but I may hold out until the PC one. I would love to play a few rounds of Puzzle Quest while doing my work at my desk, just like I go a couple of rounds with FEAR or Starcraft while working. :D
When I saw the score I thought to myself ''Wow. Has any other XBLA game ever gotten a 9.0 or higher before?'' I guess this is the first.
One thing I wanted to know but wasn't mentioned in the review was how many save files you can create. I was disappointed that the DS version only let me create two saves per cart.
It is good to see that they held out on throwing out the big score until a game with some serious value came along. IMO the issue with many of the XBLA, VC, and PS Store games are the prices. They're not all bad buys but you just don't typically get much for your money.
I love puzzle quest ... I do think that I prefer the DS version though. The user interface on the DS was so much quicker and easier ... even with the occasional misread of the stylus.
I've been anticipating this game ever since it was announced, I never got the DS or PSP version and so now having a cheaper version with online play and a better balanced game (minor changes to certain spells) is great
I'm totally getting this tonight, I'm just not sure when I'll be able to play it.
That's the problem with being a gamer during the holidays -- it's not bad enough that there's, like, two thousand titles you knew you wanted, but a few more that you didn't know you wanted and now must play. It's those that you didn't know you wanted that really stick the blade in and twist it around, you know?Ah well, I'll be buying this at some point this weekend. I wish it wasn't 1,200 points, though.

Yeah... I got paid a few weeks ago, and it is almost all gone. I suppose it is time to start prioritizing... if I buy too many little games, I'm not going to have any money at the end of the month for Ratchet and Clank, let alone food and gas... and I don't even want to think about the horrors contained within November.

I'm gonna be eating Ramen for the next two months.

I just played the demo and couldn´t get any other thought then ''hey, nice music but isn´t it a cheap copy of the game I played it on ijji, without the RPG-stuff?''...really.After GS scoring so high I maybe give it another chanche...giving it a higher score then Castlevania was just stupid...when REZ and Ikaruga are there I will finally buy MS-Points...
