With the holiday season on the horizon Nintendo had 2 big titles on the slab, SSBB and Mario Galaxy. Now as we all know Nintendo 1st party titles sell extremely better than 3rd party titles on the WII. Another thing to consider is that Wii's will be very difficult to obtain this holiday becuase of shortages and such. I believe the delay was executed on purpose. Nintendo aleady has Mario Galaxy to push them through the Holiday season along with a few other titles, so why throw another one of your main titles out when one or none can sell your system. This gives them time to get more systems out and then boom two months later after the Xmas rush they have another heavy hitter. Not only will galaxy sell well but so will other Wii 3rd party titles such as RE:UC. Lets face it if SSBB and Mario Galaxy were out, third party titles would not stand a chance to an average consumer. Oh well thats just my two cents. Sorry for the lack of structure I'm in a hurry late for a test yeoooooow!!
I'm sure the delay was simply due to the game being unfinished and needing more time.
Haha, I just made a similar comment on the news story. It's basically a crazy conspiracy theory, but it makes sense and I agree as well. Nintendo is going to sell every single Wii they manufacture this holiday season anyway, so why waste good exclusives when they'll have absolutely no effect on console sales?Release the game after the fever has died down and then you can spur it back up again.
I stopped trying to figure out Nintendo years ago, in terms of when and what they release. But despite themselves they always end up ridiculously profitable.
Personally I wasnt thinking about them doing it for the Galaxy sales more for the Wii Fit sales.
